The Sogobiken Ryukyu Training Center is located in Motobu Town in the northern part of Okinawa Prefecture, an area once known as the Ryukyu Kingdom. “Motobu,” pronounced Mutubu in the Okinawan dialect, carries the meaning of “taking flight infinitely.”

From the site, Ie Island can be seen in the distance offshore, and the center is ideally situated with mountains at its back and the sea stretching out before it. This “Ryukyu Training Center” is the very embodiment of the building vision that Mr. Yoshihide Uezu had perceived in his consciousness since childhood—a vision that has now become reality after many years.

About Mr. Yoshihide Uezu

Mr. Uezu was born in 1950 in Chatan Town, Okinawa Prefecture. From the moment he became aware of the world, he has devoted himself single-mindedly to the pursuit of truth. He has dedicated his life to demonstrating the most noble path in human existence and guiding people toward true happiness.
